Sticky BBQ Jackfruit Pulled ‘Pork’ Sandwiches with Blazing Sticky BBQ Sauce

With minimal effort and maximum taste, they are perfect for midweek meals or as a crowd-pleasing party option.

Ingredients

  • 2 x 400g cans young green jackfruit in brine, drained and shredded
  • 4 tbsp Blazing Sticky BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 4 soft burger buns or rolls
  • Pickles or slaw, optional

Method

  1. Sauté the onion:
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook for around 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Cook the jackfruit:
    Add the shredded jackfruit and smoked paprika. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the sauce:
    Stir in the Sticky BBQ Sauce and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce and caramelise.
  4. Serve:
    Spoon the mixture into burger buns and top with pickles or slaw if desired.

Serving Suggestion
