Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
  • 4 tbsp Blazing Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Spring onions, sliced, for garnish
  • Skewers, wooden or metal

Method

  1. Make the marinade:
In a bowl, mix the Teriyaki Sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
  2. Marinate the chicken:
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour, or overnight for deeper flavour.
  3. Prepare the skewers:
Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes beforehand to prevent burning.
  4. Cook the skewers:
Heat vegetable oil in a pan or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, turning regularly, until fully cooked and nicely caramelised.
  5. Garnish and serve:
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced spring onions. Serve hot.

Serving Suggestion

Pair with jasmine rice and steamed greens, or serve cold in wraps with crunchy vegetables.
